Level 01

Beginner Foundations

A gentle, confidence-building introduction to horsemanship. Learn how to safely approach, groom, tack up, and ride at the walk and trot in a supportive environment.

Do I need my own horse to take lessons?

Not at all. We have a selection of school horses well-suited to all levels. As you advance, we'll help match you with the right horse for your goals. Boarders are also welcome to take lessons on their own horses.

What should I wear to my first lesson?

Long pants (jeans or riding breeches), boots with a small heel (paddock boots, tall boots, or even cowboy boots), and a well-fitting helmet. We have loaner helmets available for your first visit. We recommend full riding attire as you continue.

How do I book a lesson?

Simply call us at 561-523-6141 or visit shamrockequestrian.com to reach out. We'll discuss your goals and experience and place you in the right program and time slot. We also welcome walk-in inquiries during barn hours.

Do you offer lesson packages or memberships?

Yes! We offer single sessions, 4-lesson packages, 8-lesson packages, and monthly memberships at discounted rates. We'll walk you through all options when you contact us. Packages are non-refundable but fully transferable.

What age do you accept for youth lessons?

We welcome riders as young as 5 years old in our youth program. Younger children are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We find that enthusiasm and a calm temperament matter much more than age when it comes to a child's readiness.

Do you prepare students for competitions?

Absolutely. Our Advanced & Competition program is specifically designed to prepare horse and rider for local, regional, and national shows. We provide end-to-end support including coaching at the show grounds, braiding, and logistics guidance.
